Scholarship Update

Wednesday, March 9, 2016

The EWI Scholarship committee would like to introduce and send a special thanks to the following judges who have been so gracious to help determine our 2016 EWISP and ASIST scholarship recipients. Being a judge for our applicants is a very rewarding position; however, we are also mindful and appreciative of the time each judge has to take away from their work and family to be a part of this process. We wish to extend our sincerest thanks to all of them for their assistance in selecting our scholarship recipients for 2016.

Philanthropy Update

Wednesday, March 9, 2016

Thank you to everyone who donated during the Food For Thought Food Drive. Your kindness and generosity is heartwarming! We were able to raise $204 and 54 pounds of food which were given to the Spokane Valley Partners Food for Thought Program.

Your generous donations will help school children in our community get enough to eat on the weekends so they have more energy and struggle less in the classroom. For more information on their program, you can visit their website at: http://www.svpart.org/food-for-thought/.

March President's Message

Wednesday, March 9, 2016

Dear fellow EWI of Spokane Members,

However, I was always baffled that arithmetic was part of the trio. Hello, did anyone notice that the word starts with an “a” and the “r” isn’t even a hard “r”? As a child I would have just as soon excluded arithmetic because I wasn’t a huge fan of math back then. I have several friends that teach elementary school and not only have they excluded the...

February President's Message

Monday, February 8, 2016

In the fall of 2012, I had the privilege of participating in Leadership Spokane. I am proud to say that I am a 2013 alum. I am truly indebted to Providence Health Care for the huge investment they made in me to allow for me to grow and learn about servant leadership. The course was on my radar for nearly two decades. I’d heard so many wonderful things about Leadership Spokane from colleagues and mentors. I knew that someday I would go through the class. I waited until the right season in my life so I could be fully engaged in the process and reap the best possible experience and outcome...
