EWI Executive Panel – “The EWI Effect”

Gwen Guenzel — Contract Design, members since 2015

Gwendolyn (Gwen) Guenzel is the Owner and Principal of Contract Design, a commercial furniture dealership serving healthcare, higher education, and public agencies across Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.  The company partners with organizations to design, procure, and install high-performance environments that support healing, learning, and workplace productivity.

In 2001, she moved to Spokane and joined the company. She stepped away in 2010 and returned in 2012 as Sales Manager with a renewed commitment to growth, both personally and professionally.  That same year, she completed the Coeur d’Alene Ironman, an experience that still shapes her leadership: discipline, resilience, and the mindset to keep moving forward when things get hard.

Gwen became a Principal in 2016 and a 50 percent owner in 2018.  She lead the company through the uncertainty of COVID and, in 2025, made the difficult decision to restructure her business partnership, prioritizing the long-term health of the business.

She believes empowerment is not about titles.  It is about ownership, taking responsibility for decisions, learning from mistakes, and continuing to grow.  To her, real strength comes from humility, self-discipline, believing in yourself, and having the courage to keep going.

Gwen cares deeply about the communities and organizations Contract Design serves and values the trust clients place in her team as a partner in the environments where people work, learn, and heal.

Jillian Robison — Eide Bailly, members since 1988

Jillian married her high school sweetheart, and together they are raising their two children, Brooke (12) and Lachlan (10), who have made several appearances at EWI meetings over the years. She is in her 20th year as a CPA at Eide Bailly and currently works in the Client Accounting Services Department as an Intuit Specialist. Much of her time is spent attending her kids’ sporting events (and being their Uber driver), which she loves. As a family, they enjoy driving old cars, flying old planes, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends.

Megan Schuyler Kennedy — Rogue Heart Media SPC, members since 2012

Megan Schuyler Kennedy joined EWI in 2012, one year after founding Rogue Heart Media with her husband, Rob. The company is now in its 15th year of thoughtful growth, serving the Spokane Region with purpose-driven documentary storytelling, professional photography, and social marketing services. Megan serves as CEO and Creative Director of Rogue Heart’s women-led team, and transitioned to become the sole owner of Rogue Heart in 2019 – good news! The marriage and business are both healthier than ever!

With over 20 years of experience in nonfiction filmmaking, Megan specializes in complex and heartfelt human narratives and impact storytelling, as well as creative and conceptual imagery for marketing. Megan invests heart and mind into every project, from directing and editing PSA campaigns, to producing nuanced human interest documentaries, to developing extensive digital and multimedia campaigns. She is dedicated to community stewardship and placemaking, currently serving as Board Chair for the North Monroe Business District, leading the investment of ARPA dollars into various district improvements & reinvestment initiatives; she’s also an active member of the Spokane Environmental Policy Coalition as well as the Spokane Alliance, which works with diverse groups to build our collective power to address the most pressing issues in our community.

Rogue Heart is committed to sustainability and the idea of business as a force for good, measuring impact by maintaining “Benefit Corporation” status since 2022, also known as “B Corp” Certification. In the last six years, the Rogue Heart team has given over $275,000 back to Spokane nonprofits in in-kind services, grant awards, and monetary donations – and the documentary storytelling they produce informs and compels generosity in our community at fundraising events throughout the years. The motto Media that Makes a Difference is at the heart of all of the work, and we are grateful for EWI’s role in supporting Rogue Heart’s growth.
