Letter from the President – April 2025

by Jen Goe
EWI of Spokane Chapter President

April is a big month. Not just because it finally feels like spring is showing up (we hope), but because April 17th marks 46 years of EWI of Spokane—and coincidentally, my 39th trip around the sun. I’d say we’ve both aged pretty well!

On April 17, 1979, a group of bold, visionary women planted the seeds of what would become one of the most connected, empowering, and purpose-driven professional organizations in our region. Since then, EWI of Spokane has grown into a Chapter that leads with heart, supports with strength, and shows up every single time. That’s no small thing.

As we celebrate this milestone, it’s more than just a look back—it’s a charge forward. What does the next 46 years look like? Hopefully full of growth, impact, and a few more well-earned celebrations (and cake!). But seriously, it’s our relationships, our commitment to each other’s success, and our willingness to evolve that will shape what’s next.

So whether you’ve been here four months or 40 years, you are part of the legacy. And if you ask me, there’s no better birthday gift than being part of something that matters. I love sharing this day with EWI of Spokane!

Speaking of things that matter, I’d like to take a moment in this month’s message to highlight The Reading Rally! We have a fabulous new opportunity for our member firms. We are opening up sponsorship opportunities to help promote our event, support our students, and provide books for the kids to take home.

There are 3 levels:

Gold level $1000 – Program with sponsorship logos, social media posts with logo, book purchase $20/book. ‘Thank you’ in the EWI of Spokane Connect Newsletter.

Silver $500 – Social media posts with logo, book purchase, $20/book, ‘Thank you’ in the EWI of Spokane Connect Newsletter

Bronze-$250 – ‘Thank you’ in the EWI of Spokane Connect Newsletter $20/book

To take part in this amazing opportunity, please contact Bridget Walden, Philanthropy Chair. mnbwalden@comcast.net or 509-981-5300.

Here’s to 46 years of EWI Spokane. Here’s to all of you. And hey-here’s to cake.

With Love,

Jen Goe
President, EWI of Spokane
