Channeling Joy This Holiday Season

Dear EWI of Spokane Chapter Members,

As we wrap up 2025, I find myself reflecting on the connections we’ve built this year—and the theme we keep returning to: showing up, engaging authentically, and nurturing the relationships that make EWI so special.

Did You Make That Coffee Date?

Throughout this year, we’ve talked about the power of one-on-one connection. October’s “Connect, Collaborate, and Grow” meeting reminded us how curiosity and commonality can spark meaningful conversations. The call to action was simple: meet someone for coffee. So I have to ask—did you do it? If not, there’s still time! Those conversations are where the real magic happens.

Reflecting on November

Our November meeting at the Spokane Club was filled with gratitude and grace, enhanced by the beautiful, cozy setting. Debbie Heiser invigorated us with tangible takeaways to help us communicate better and understand ourselves more deeply. The insights from Internal Family Systems gave us practical tools we can apply in our professional and personal lives. If you walked away with new perspective on how you show up in conversations and relationships, you’re not alone.

December: Let’s Play!

This month, we’re channeling our inner child—and leaning into the joy of the season.

You may have heard, we’re not doing our annual holiday sweater competition this year. It was getting a little too competitive! Instead, we welcome everyone to wear whatever feels festive and brings them joy.

We’ll be doing a friendly gingerbread decorating activity with a special (and coveted!) prize for the winning group. But that’s not all—I’ve invited everyone to bring a little trinket to share with the group. It will be returned at the end of the night, but it might come back a little sweeter! 😉 This could be something that represents a unique way you celebrate the holidays, a special treasure, or just your favorite candy. It’s a chance to share a small piece of ourselves and learn something new about each other.

Beyond the fun, December also brings meaningful opportunities for connection and celebrating the year-end successes of our members. I can’t wait to hear what you’ve accomplished this year!

Wishing You Joy

As we close out this year together, I’m grateful for each of you and the community we continue to build. Here’s to a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, connection, and maybe a little frosting on your fingers.

I look forward to seeing you at our holiday meeting!

With holiday cheer,

Sarah
