Letter from the President – February 2025

by Jen Goe
EWI of Spokane Chapter President

February, a month that celebrates connection, leadership, and the strength of diverse voices, I want to take a moment to talk about something that fuels our success, inclusion.

Inclusion isn’t just a buzzword; it’s the foundation of growth, both personally and professionally. When we foster an environment where every member feels valued, heard, and empowered, we create a space where innovation thrives, confidence grows, and opportunities expand.

That’s the kind of Chapter we are building together.

Think about it. When people feel included, they are more likely to step up, contribute, and develop the skills that lead to long-term success. Mentorship, leadership, and collaboration flourish in a space where different perspectives are not only welcomed but encouraged. And in today’s fast-paced professional world, that’s not just a “nice to have”—it’s essential.

As members of EWI, we are more than just a network; we are a community. A community where each member, regardless of background, industry, or experience, has something valuable to offer. Our chapter thrives when we make room at the table for everyone, recognizing that inclusion isn’t about simply inviting people in, but making sure they feel like they truly belong.
So, let’s continue to lift each other up. Let’s support, encourage, and create the kind of professional environment where we can all achieve more together.

At our next meeting, I challenge each of you to sit next to someone new. Start a conversation, learn something about them, and strengthen the connections that make our chapter so impactful. You never know, your next great idea, business opportunity, or friendship could be sitting right next to you!

Here’s to a month of growth, connection, and the power of inclusion!
