Letter from the President – July 2026

EWI of Spokane Chapter President

Dear EWI of Spokane Members,

How is it July already?!

Honestly, this letter has been a hard one to write. Not because there is nothing to say, but because there is almost too much. Life feels hectic right now. I feel it in myself, and I feel it every time I stand up to speak at a chapter meeting and look out at a room full of women who I know are carrying just as much. Maybe more.

And yet, here we all are. Every month, we make space. We show up, not just for EWI, not just for our firms, but for each other. There is something deeply meaningful about that. When everyone is equally busy, equally stretched, and we still choose to come together, that is not nothing. That is everything.

Our June meeting at Barrister Winery was one of those evenings you leave still thinking about the next morning. Casey Jackson gave us something rare: a shared language for growth that felt relevant whether you are two years into your career or twenty. That is the thing about EWI. We are not here to network at each other. We are here to grow alongside each other, to learn the same things at the same time and bring them back to our firms, our teams, our communities. Sitting in that room, I felt it. I think you did too. For what it is worth, he is working on a book. I will be first in line.

July brings something you asked for: breakfast! A while back we floated the idea and the Chapter was in support, so Beacon Hill Catering is bringing their full creativity to the table, literally! Summer evenings fill up fast. Breakfast is our chance to see each other before the chaos of the day heats up, to carve out a moment that belongs to us. Come for the food. Stay for the people.

We still have a whole quarter ahead of us, and the energy in this Chapter is real. People are stepping up, doing great work, and setting the stage for an incredible year to come. I could not be more proud of what we are building together.

See you at the table.

Sarah
