Donate to Communities in Schools of Spokane County

The Philanthropy Committee will be collecting food, clothing, and monetary donations for Communities in Schools in September and October.

Communities in Schools of Spokane County serves schools in the Central Valley School District, Cheney, Lumen High School, Medical Lake, and Spokane Public Schools. Its mission is to provide students with a community of support, to empower them to stay in school and achieve in life. As part of this mission, CIS provides food, clothing, and hygiene supplies to marginalized students. Learn more about this great organization by going to spokane.ciswa.org.

CIS needs non-perishable foods in easy to open containers to send home with students. Good choices include high protein or calorie-dense foods like tuna (in pull tab cans) and peanut butter. CIS also needs full-size hygiene items like shampoo and deodorant. Underwear and socks in any size are needed additions to CIS’s Clothing Closet.

We will be collecting at our chapter meetings in September and October. You can also drop off donations at Winston & Cashatt, Lawyers, in Suite 1901 of the Bank of America Building downtown.

No time to shop? No problem. Bring cash or your checkbook to the September or October chapter meeting and we will make sure that your donation goes to CIS.
