EWI of Spokane Chapter President
An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow. On April 17, 1979, EWI of Spokane became the 73rd chapter to charter with Executive Women International, a national organization already built on decades upon decades of firms and member representatives dedicated to leadership development and community impact. As we celebrate 44 years of building our local Chapter’s strength through professional development, giving back to our community, and building meaningful connections, it is important we take time to celebrate just how far we have come! Our Chapter has continued to thrive because our amazing members who truly live out our core values: Connections, Careers, and Community.
A notable example of the strength, dedication, and generosity was exemplified at our March Chapter meeting. The scholarship committee launched a pledge campaign for our ASIST scholarship program, with the hope to fully endow the ASIST scholarship by December 2023, ensuring that adult students in our community have the resources they need to attain their career goals for years to come. With numerous donations pledged already, we are closing in on our goal quicker than we hoped! A special thanks to Avista Foundation, Vandervert Developments, Sunshine Disposal, Colleen M Stevens Financial Services, Pati Dahmen, ZBA Architecture, Cerium Networks, Jennifer Koenig, Jeanette Jolley, and the scholarship committee. We appreciate you!
This month let us take the time to celebrate. Whether you have been a representative for 44 years or a week, I hope that each of you are proud of what we as a Chapter have given back to our community over the years. This organization was built on a foundation of strong individuals who I am proud to be a part of. My hope is that each of us takes time to engage, volunteer, learn, and celebrate as new opportunities arise. Let us continue to bring success to our amazing EWI of Spokane Chapter!
Happy anniversary, EWI of Spokane!
