Letter from the President – May 2020

Hello EWI Friends!

Everywhere around us right now, there are signs — signs of love, sharing hope, togetherness — it sure does make the tough times more bearable.

This beautiful heart resides on the construction fence outside of Wilson Elementary. It continually reminds me of all the love around us, always! There are many of these sweet signs displayed around our community — what a great feeling every time we see one.

Last month, we had the opportunity to enjoy our friends on a virtual Happy Hour. What a treat to spend a few hours together and connect! The number of you that have continued to stay connected, the committees that are still meeting — even if the tasks are light — and just calling to check in on each other is exactly why we’re a part of this incredible organization. Your board stays connected, too! We meet with you in mind and how we can continue to ensure that we’re providing opportunities to connect, learn, and grow together.

If you’ve had time away from work (perhaps you’re working from home with a more flexible schedule or just had a little more time available as all extra activities have halted) how have you made yourself more valuable for when you’re back?   Do you have any special tips to share with your EWI friends, favorite quotes, webinars, or podcasts you’ve enjoyed. Maybe you learned to make masks or now are a zoom/webex/Microsoft teams expert! I would love to hear from you and what you’re doing.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our moms — wishing you a day full of love and relaxation!

Much love ❤

Melissa
