The EWISP II scholarship proposal has been approved! Thank you to all our members. We are very excited to implement this award in the 2023 scholarship cycle. This award is dedicated to the Schools of Alternative Learning. Winning candidates will demonstrate their desire and ability to overcome odds as they work towards higher education.
Our Committee has been hard at work, collaborating with high school counselors to identify candidates. We received over 30 EWISP applications, which were reviewed and scored by the committee in March. There are many talented and enthusiastic young people in our community. We are so grateful to have the chance to get to know how wonderful they are and the work they are doing for their schools, churches, and neighborhoods.
Next step, our judges will be scoring and interviewing our EWISP and ASIST candidates. We look forward to learning of the nominees and wish them the best of luck during the remainder of the process. During our May banquet we’ll award and celebrate the recipients. Please invite guests to showcase the talent of our young candidates!
