Our keynote speaker this month is Cindy Wendle – “Dreaming out loud; How the voice of our vision rally the Team”
Cindy is a passionate and devoted community advocate. Following her run for public office in 2019, she was asked by community leaders to volunteer her time and help bring professional soccer to Spokane. USL Spokane will be the first club in the country committed to both a men’s and women’s team; with the Women’s team launching first in 2022. Increasing opportunities for women to play high level soccer, and also serve in executive management roles, is a focus for USL and an opportunity Cindy is honored to help grow, serving as one of only 2 female Presidents in the USL.
Additionally, Cindy dedicates her time on the boards of Family Promise and the Northeast Public Development Authority, and in other volunteer roles for Spokane Community Colleges and Washington State University Elson S Floyd College of Medicine.
Cindy also considers herself one of those lucky “boy moms”. She has 3 of them – Ben, a WSU grad in business and construction management; Nick, a Boise State junior studying computer science engineering; and Jack, a junior at Lewis and Clark High School who is also attending EWU as a running start student this year. In addition to watching soccer, (and let’s admit it – Ted Lasso!), she enjoys hiking, camping, and generally anything that will take her to a mountain or near water.
