Zak Designs Inc., of Airway Heights, has received the 2016 Governor's Trader of the Year Award from the World Trade Club, an international trade organization established in 1946. The award is given to a company in Washington state that has "demonstrated success and industry leadership through its innovation in products or services, its contribution to the local economy, and its service to the community."

Lorilei Bruggink, EVP and COO at State Bank Northwest and EWI Member Firm Executive, was recently elected to the State Bank Northwest Board of Directors. Lorilei has been involved in banking in the Spokane area since 1985 and has been a member of many community groups in the area, including EWI of Spokane throughout her career.
